What is the BC Summer Reading Club?
Summer Reading Club (SRC) is a free reading program over the summer with plenty of storytimes, contests, crafts, and other activities. It is a great way to practice or improve reading skills, meet new friends, learn more about your community and library, and have fun! This year’s theme is World of Curiosities.
Who Can Join?
SRC is for everyone! We have separate registration and activities for kids, teens, and adults.
How Do I Register?
Registration will begin Saturday, June 29. You can register anytime over the summer with the information below.
Kids
Children under the age of 12 can sign up either online with a caregiver or in-person at the library or at our Farmer’s Market booth. Upon registration, participants will receive a package that includes a Reading Log, stickers, and FAQ sheet.
Bring your Reading Log to the library often over the summer. For every seven Reading Log entries, receive a stamp and your choice of weekly prizes!
Teens
Youth aged 13 to 18 can pick up their registration package at the Welcome Desk of the library or at the library’s booth in the Farmer’s Market.

Adults
No formal registration is required. Instead, for each book you read, you will be able to fill out an online entry form for a chance to win weekly draw prizes.
