Summer Reading Club FAQ
2023/06/24 - 2023/08/25
FreeWhat is the BC Summer Reading Club?
The BC Summer Reading Club is a free reading program for the summer months with plenty of storytimes, contests, crafts, and other activities. It is a great way to practice or improve reading skills over the summer, meet new friends, learn more about your community and library, and have fun! This year’s theme is Journey Through Time.
Who Can Join?
Summer Reading Club is for everyone! We will have separate registration and activities for kids, teens, and adults.
How Do I Register?
Registration for all age groups will begin 24 June 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. However, you can register anytime over the summer with the information below:
Kids
Children under the age of 12 can sign up at the Library or at our Farmer’s Market booth, or online with a caregiver if you can’t visit us. Upon registration, participants will receive a package that includes a Reading Log, stickers, and FAQ sheet. Stop by the library when you’ve filled a page in the reading log to choose a prize!
Teens
Youth aged 13 to 18 can register and pick up their registration package by the Welcome Desk of the Library or at the Library’s booth in the Farmer’s Market. Stop by the library during the weeks of August 7th to 18th with your reading log to enter a draw to win one of two grand prizes!
Adults
No formal registration is required. Instead, for each book you read, you will be able to fill out an online entry form for a chance to win weekly prize draws.
