Get a Library Card

What You Need to Join

  • Piece of current government-issued identification (ID)
  • Proof of residency

Those from elsewhere in British Columbia (BC) can join by showing their home library card and proof of residency of their hometown. People from outside the province, or ineligible for BC One Card, can get a non-resident membership.

Non-Resident Individual – 3 month $8
Non-Resident Individual – 1 year $30
Non-Resident Family – 3 month $12
Non-Resident Family – 1 year $50

Rights and Responsibilities

With your library card, you can:

You are responsible for all the materials borrowed on your card and for any charges on items that are overdue, lost, or damaged.

Replacement Cards

If you lose your library card or it is stolen, you are still responsible for any items checked out on your card. Report the lost card to the Library immediately to prohibit anyone else from using it. It costs $2 to replace a lost card.

Updating Information

It is important for us to have your current information. If your address or other personal information changes (excluding your PIN), contact the Library and we will update your account.
